The farm has been consulting, and continues to, with the experts of UC Davis California University to produce the highest quality walnuts, mainly the Chandler variety, due to its popularity.
Established since 1996, in Akmese – Kocaeli, Ataman Farm consists of 150 hectares of land in Akmeşe which has ideal growing conditions for walnuts. The farm is located near Kocaeli Port and only one hour driving distance to Istanbul and has easy access to international market.
Having 17,000 Chandler and 3,000 Fernor trees, Ataman Farm is one of the largest walnut farms in Turkey.
